Dr. Kennedy grew up in the Kitchener-Waterloo area where he
was very active in sports joining the football, basketball, badminton and
ski teams during high school. After completing his Secondary School
Diploma as an Ontario Scholar, he attended the University of Western
Ontario and completed his degree in Physiology. During this time his
father sought out a chiropractor for a degenerative hip condition and
this exposure to chiropractic led Dr. Kennedy to apply to Canadian
Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Dr. Kennedy was extremely
interested in Chiropractic’s natural approach to health care using the
innate healing abilities of the body to balance the nervous system
without the use of drugs or surgery.

After being accepted into CMCC in 1986, he completed the 4-year
program and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1990. He began
his career as an associate doctor at Shoppers World Mall in Brampton;
and in 1993 he purchased the practice and became clinic director. He
has run a family practice for the last 33 years in Brampton. Since 2004
Dr. Kennedy has been the Chief Examiner for Ontario for the Canadian
Chiropractic Examining Board responsible for the practical licensing
exams run three times a year in Hamilton. For the past 10 years Dr.
Kennedy has been a peer assessor for the College of Chiropractors of
Ontario, conducting assessments of colleagues as part of the quality
assurance and self-regulatory body of the College. Dr. Kennedy treats a
wide variety of patients and conditions including athletes, seniors,
children and pregnant women. In his spare time, he enjoys racquetball,
squash, skiing and golf.
